Powers & Jurisdiction

The Civil Appellate High Court of Kalutara exercises Civil Appellate Jurisdiction over the Kalutara judicial zone under Article 154P of the Constitution and Act No. 54 of 2006.

Civil Appellate Jurisdiction

The Court hears and adjudicates Final Appeal Cases, Leave to Appeal Cases, Revision Cases, and Appeals Notwithstanding Lapse of Time arising from judgments, decrees, and orders of the District Courts and Family Courts.

Revisionary Jurisdiction

The Court holds revisionary powers over District Court and Family Court proceedings within the jurisdiction, ensuring legal consistency and procedural fairness.
